CAREER OPPORTUNITY: PART TIME SWAHILI TRAINERS
MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation (MS TCDC), located in Usa River near Arusha, was established in 1976 to prepare Danish volunteers to work in East and Southern Africa. Today it trains over 5,000 people annuallyfrom all over the world in Kiswahili language and culture, and in 70 development courses.
We provide Swahili Language and Culture orientation to foreigners coming to work and live in East Africa region. We are looking for competent, self driven and professional Part Time Swahili Trainers from Moshi and Arusha.
Part Time Swahili Trainers
The Part Time Swahili Trainers report directly to the Head of Language Section. The main purpose of the positions is to facilitate and teach Swahili Language to Foreigners.
Teaching Swahili Language and Culture to foreigners.
Preparation of session plan and teaching materials.
Participation in departmental activities.
Writing performance evaluation reports at the end of each course.
Willingness to travel outside Arusha.
Any task as may be directed by the Head of Language Section.
BA or MA in Kiswahili/English Language with three (3) years working experience.
Demonstrated experience in teaching Kiswahili language to foreigners in recognized institution is added advantage.
Ability to develop teaching and learning materials.
Ability to facilitate using competence based approach.
Ability to integrate Swahili language with Culture.
Computer literacy is a must.
Fluent in English, knowledge of other international languages is an added advantage.
