Invitation to Visionary Story Telling: My Ideal Africa - Celebrating African Liberation Day 2018
“My Ideal Africa” – Visionary Story Telling
Join us at MS TCDC to celebrate African Liberation day on 25th May 2018, for an interactive conversations on Africa we want. MS TCDC joins the rest on the continent in celebrating and bringing a sense of collective action towards a true intended meaning of African liberation day in conjunction with Africans Rising a Pan-African movement of people and organisations, working for peace, justice and dignity. The core purpose of the conversation will be to spark up Africa-wide solidarity and unity of purpose of the Peoples of Africa to build the Future we want – a right to peace, social inclusion and shared prosperity.
Majority of Africans continue to suffer from marginalization, deep poverty and effects of the rise in inequality, displacement of multiple communities, major land grabs and massive illicit financial flows. We believe in the power of conversation and opening platform for discussion and talk about our own challenges so as we can find our own solution to our own problems.
We welcome you to come and share your views on the Ideal Africa you want to see, a five minutes for each participant to share. The most influential story will be placed on MS TCDC website and shared around. We expect to gather participants from the neighboring community from different organizations, students union, youth groups, universities and other institutions around as we come together as one Africans. We encourage people attending the talk to read the Kilimanjaro declaration as our key thematic point of reference to address our challenges.
We will be happy to welcome you at MS TCDC this Friday to honor the day and share our thoughts.
