Joachim Kisanji has been teaching Swahili for 26 years. He holds a PhD in Swahili Folklore MA in Swahili folklore and a BA in Education, Diploma in Education and a Certificate of Teaching. He has been working with students as a language instructor and cross-culture training has always been his first passion. Kisanji’s vast experience and expertise encompasses work with several international programs such as Peace Corps, Australian Volunteer Services, and Swahili standard course teaching doctors, Embassy officials, American Councils’ programs, where his contagious enthusiasm and energetic teaching style keeps students motivated and engaged in their language learning journeys. Outside of the classroom, he is happiest with his six children and six grandchildren.
