CALL FOR CONSULTANT(S): LEARNING EXPERT

Experiential Learning and Reflection Circle (ELRC) is MS TCDC’s newly crafted practitioners' reflection and refresh learning space for internal learning and accountability for institutional commitments and reflection on the impact of our work and how to improve it. The ELRC allows participants to share their current and previous experiences, explore approaches and practices and what they are achieving or failing to achieve in addressing pressing development and peace interventions and generate ideas on new approaches toward addressing the gaps.

It is proposed for DFC to be part of and participate in convening an annual Experiential Learning Institute (ELRC) physical gathering (for learning practitioners) involving TCDC and DFC staff, associates/consultants and partners on a range of topics that form the priorities of the partnership and will be happening once a year. The topics of focus for each ELRC will be agreed on from time to time. The focus will be on addressing the challenges and opportunities that present themselves in the interaction between learning, research/knowledge and action in order to best contribute to Danida’s overall development cooperation objectives.

For the years 2023-2024, the focus will be curation of learning methodologies. The focus of the learning process will be the following learning methodology:

The ELRC will be focusing on four learning methodologies:

We shall interrogate the following questions:

  1. How to deploy the 4-learning methodology in a formal and informal learning setting?
  2. What has proven to work in our experience of delivering training using the method?
  3. What should the instructor look out for? What should the learner look out for?
  4. What are some of the case studies from our work that exemplify how best each method works
  5. How do we deploy the learning methodology on different learning platforms?
  6. How do we pilot the learning methodology as documented?
  7. How do we document the lessons from the pilots?
  8. Who needs to know the answers to all the questions in (i-vi) above and how do we package this information to benefit them?
