SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

MS TCDC through AADK SPA II Agreement is offering a full scholarship program for AA SPA II country offices and their partners with a focus on capacity-building opportunities that supports the creation of a just, feminist, green, and resilient society.

The scholarship program will offer the following face-to-face courses. 

  1. Building a Movement Mindset: 18th to 22nd March 2024 
  2. Climate Justice Academy: 29th July to 3rd August 2024
  3. Humanitarian Peace Development Nexus: (TBC)

SELECTION CRITERIA 

To be considered in the selection, we kindly  request that you meet the following requirements:

  • Engaged as a young activist in the ActionAid Strategic Partnership Agreement II (SPA II).
  • Affiliated by ActionAid's local partner offices.
  • Should be part of either the Global Platforms Network, the Movements Network, or the Activista network.
  • A young activist actively participating in climate justice initiatives. 
  • Proficiency in English language (both written and spoken)
  • Possession of a valid passport with a minimum of six months validity prior to your departure for international travel.
  • Age between 18 and 35 years.
  • You should be able to submit requested documents.

  • Staff from the Global Platforms Network
  • Activists
  • Movements

 

Note: Applications should be made one month prior the course commencement or at least two months for countries that require referral visas

Countries whose citizens require referral visas:

Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Chad, Djibouti, Eritrea, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Republic, Kyrgystan Republic, Lebanon, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Somali, land, Sierra Leone, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Yemen and stateless persons or persons with refugee status.

 

WHAT THE SCHOLARSHIP COVERS

  • Tuition fee
  • Flights/Bus tickets
  • Full board accommodation
  • Visa processing fee
  • COVID testing
  • Travel in your home country based on the submission of valid receipts
  • Airport pick up and drop off in Arusha
