THIS IS AN INTRODUCTORY COURSE THAT AIM AT INTRODUCING SWAHILI LANGUAGE AND ITS CULTURE TO PARTICIPANTS.
This course will develop your ability to perform a number of very basic and common communicative tasks in Swahili, with a focus on greetings, introductions, and simple descriptions of everyday experiences. Through activities such as role-plays, scenarios and interactive language games, you will learn basic vocabulary related to everyday situations and scenarios and explore topics aimed at introducing you to Tanzanian social and cultural norms. Alongside classroom activities, you will participate in cultural excursions and immersion activities aimed at exposing you to authentic Swahili speaking environments.
