ORGANISATIONAL PLANNING FOR FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY

Learn how to plan, budget, and use innovative strategies to ensure your financial success

This course is designed to provide adequate financial oversight and risk management for organisations and companies. It offers techniques to diversify income, options for cost recovery, and financing strategies. Practical exercises will help participants to understand how to calculate key financial ratios and use them to create a financial strategy document..

Course outcomes
  • Understand the critical elements of a successful grant proposal
  • Navigate the complex pathways in the grant application process
  • Practice and develop skills for presenting (defending their papers in a panel)
  • Write winning grant/funding proposals
  • Develop their research reports
  • Assess your organisation’s financial sustainability and risk status
  • Describe how to diversify income and become less dependent on external funding agencies
  • Manage and outline options for cost recovery and financing central support costs
  • Set targets for and identify options for building financial reserves
  • Complete a communications plan to strengthen stakeholder relationships
  • Practice using essential tools to create a financing strategy document with everyone in the organisation
