Social Justice Leadership Programme

Equipping leaders with transformative capabilities to drive organisational change, influence systems and mobilise communities a just and sustainable world.

Social Justice Leadership Programme (SJLP) is a leadership development initiative by ActionAid International designed to strengthen the capacity of leaders working in politically complex and rapidly changing environments. Grounded in feminist leadership, social justice and climate justice, the programme build the strategic organisational and political capabilities leaders need to guide their teams, influence systems and advance constituency - led change. 

Course outcomes

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Harness the power of public narrative to inspire individual, team, and organisational leadership across the federation and at the country level.
  • Strengthen your ability to lead and mobilise through aligned, purpose driven teams that respond to the urgency of our mission.
  • Equip yourself with the tools to lead effectively and advance ActionAid’s mission.
  • Contribute to shaping a unified federation-wide narrative that drives us toward becoming a ‘rooted campaigning organisation.
  • Understand how our climate justice strategic priority aligns with ActionAid’s rooted, people-centered approach.
